YJLV22 0.6/1kV Aluminum XLPE-Insulated Steel-Tape-Armored Power Cable

When current rating per dollar is what matters — substation outdoor feeders, large building service entrances, plant main feeders — YJLV22 swaps copper for compacted aluminum conductor at roughly half the conductor cost. Same XLPE insulation, same steel-tape armor, same IEC 60502-1 type approval as the copper-conductor YJV22.

Overview
Aluminum Class 2 stranded conductor, XLPE insulation, PVC inner bedding, double-layer galvanized steel tape armor, PVC outer sheath. Sized for the same current rating as a YJV22 typically requires the next size up in cross-section — but the aluminum cost advantage usually still wins on total installed cost for large cross-sections (95mm² and above).
Key Features
Cost-optimized for large feeders
Aluminum conductor halves the conductor metal cost. At 95mm² and above, the savings outweigh the larger cross-section needed for equal ampacity.
Same IEC 60502-1 envelope
Identical insulation, sheath, and armor as YJV22 — only the conductor differs. Project specs accept YJLV22 / YJV22 interchangeably on conductor type.
Applications
Substation outgoing feeders
Large LV feeders from substation transformers to area distribution boards — 95mm² to 400mm² typical.
High-rise service entrances
Main service feeders to commercial building risers where current rating > 250A.
