Overview

The YJV 26/35 kV 1×300 mm² is a single-core copper power cable with XLPE insulation and a PVC outer sheath. It is intended for fixed medium-voltage power distribution in utility substations, industrial plants and infrastructure projects. The 1×300 mm² designation identifies one conductor with a nominal cross-sectional area of 300 mm². Construction and Operating Temperature The cable incorporates conductor and insulation screens, a metallic screen and an outer protective sheath. XLPE insulation supports a maximum continuous conductor operating temperature of 90°C. This temperature rating does not define a fixed current rating: allowable load depends on the installation method, ambient or soil temperature, cable spacing, circuit grouping and screen bonding arrangement. Installation and Project Suitability This unarmoured cable is an option for protected routes such as cable ducts, trenches and trays where the design provides suitable mechanical protection. For underground installations, assess soil conditions, water exposure and the need for additional protection. Where the specification requires water blocking, flame retardancy or low-smoke halogen-free performance, identify these requirements separately so the appropriate cable construction can be selected. Single-core cable selection also requires attention to phase arrangement, metallic screen bonding and compatible glands, joints and terminations. Accessory selection should use the actual insulation diameter and cable dimensions shown in the approved datasheet. Technical Information for Approval For engineering review, request the construction drawing, overall diameter, approximate weight, conductor resistance, metallic screen details, minimum bending radius and installation limits. Current-carrying capacity should be supplied with its calculation assumptions. The applicable manufacturing standard and supporting routine or type test reports should also be checked against the project specification. Information to Include in Your Enquiry Specify YJV 26/35 kV 1×300 mm², the total quantity and required drum lengths. Include the installation conditions, destination, required delivery date, applicable standards and any testing or inspection requirements. Request a quotation stating the offered construction, technical documentation, drum packing, production lead time, delivery terms and commercial validity. These details help purchasing and engineering teams compare offers on a consistent basis.

Key Features

01

26/35 kV Voltage Rating

Rated U₀/U of 26/35 kV for fixed power distribution applications, including substations and industrial supply networks.

02

XLPE Insulation Rated to 90°C

XLPE insulation allows a maximum continuous conductor operating temperature of 90°C. Current-carrying capacity depends on installation conditions.

03

Copper Tape Metallic Screen

A copper tape screen forms part of the cable’s screening system. Screen sizing and bonding should match the project’s earthing and fault-current requirements.

04

PVC Protective Outer Sheath

A PVC outer sheath protects the underlying cable layers. Suitability for chemical exposure, sunlight or standing water requires project-specific assessment.

05

Unarmoured Design for Protected Routes

Suitable for fixed installation in ducts, trenches and trays where adequate mechanical protection is provided.
